An external modem can be attached to the COM port for dialing out when an
SNMP trap is generated.
To set up an external modem, you need to:
1. Set up SNMP trap managers.
2. Set up an external modem.
3. Set up Modem Directory phone numbers.
4. Configure trap dial-out.

When trap dial-out is desired, the PC or asynchronous terminal must be
disconnected from the unit's COM port when setup is complete, and an external
modem connected instead. See

Procedure
1. Set up directory phone numbers.

3. Enter the phone number(s).
