Fuel Level Sending Unit
FUEL GAUGE/HOUR METER REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the battery and spark plug wire.
2.
Remove the instrument panel.
3.
Disconnect the fuel gauge/hour meter (1) wires (Figure 19-43, Page 19-36). Do not allow wires to touch.

Alternate pulling the lower and upper tabs away from the gauge housing to remove clip.
5.
Remove gauge/meter from the instrument panel.
FUEL GAUGE/HOUR METER INSTALLATION
1.
Install the fuel gauge/hour meter (1) into the hole in the instrument panel until the flange seats against the
instrument panel (Figure 19-43, Page 19-36).
2.
Connect the wires to the fuel gauge/hour meter.
3.
Install the instrument panel. Make sure that the key switch terminals cannot touch the frame. Make sure that the
instrument panel is properly seated and snapped in place.
4.
Connect the battery and spark plug wire.
FUEL LEVEL SENDING UNIT
The fuel level sending unit is an integral part of the fuel pump module and is not replaceable. Thoroughly test the fuel
level sending unit before replacing the fuel pump module.
