Updating Firmware When You Do Not Have a
Logic Analysis System

To display current firmware version information

• Use telnet to access the built-in "terminal interface" and use the ver
command to view the version information for firmware currently in the
emulation probe.

To update firmware from the web

To update the firmware, you must have access to the World Wide Web and a
PC or a workstation connected to your emulation probe.
1 Download the new firmware from the following World Wide Web site:
http://www.agilent.com/find/emulator
The firmware will be in the "Emulator and Emulation Solutions Software" or
"Technical Support" section of this web site.
2 Follow the instructions on the web site for installing the firmware.

To update firmware from a floppy disk

• Follow the instructions on the README file on the floppy disk.
The firmware can be installed using either a PC or a workstation which can
read PC disks.
