7.5 Removing, installing, and setting the cutting edge

In order to avoid unnecessary contamination and unnecessary wear of the interleaver cutting
edge, this cutting edge must be removed in case of longer cutting cycles without selected
interleaver and replaced with a special interleaver cutting edge with a roller.
The product is cut by the knife at the cutting edge (two-part, horizontal and vertical). In order
to better guide the product, a product-specific form shell (one-piece) can be used instead of
the cutting edge. It is adapted to the caliber or the contour of the product. Before removing the
horizontal cutting edge, the vertical cutting edge must be removed. After replacement, the
cutting edge or the mold shell must be set correctly.
NOTE!
For work on the cutting edge, the knife protection must be placed on the knife
or the knife must be removed (see chapter "Changing the knife" in the cutting
line instructions).
