Temperature Calibration
A Temperature Calibration Plate is
available as an optional accessory. It
consists of a very accurate temperature
probe embedded inside a microfluidic
plate precisely where the cells would be
cultured. By following the steps below,
the Temperature Calibration Plate can be
used to improve the accuracy of the
sample chamber temperature from
± 1 °C (without the Temperature
Calibration Plate) to as high as ± 0.2 °C
(with the Temperature Calibration Plate). We recommend using a Temperature
Calibration Plate if a short working distance (< 2 mm) or immersion objective with
objective heater is used, or simply if you want to confirm that the cell culture
region is being maintained at the desired temperature despite room temperature
variation and the heat sink capacity of the microscope objectives.
