5.5
(F) Setting of acceleration/deceleration time and
acceleration/deceleration pattern
Purpose
To set the motor acceleration/
deceleration time
To set the acceleration/
deceleration pattern suitable for an
application
To command smooth speed
transition with terminals
To set the starting frequency
5.5.1
Setting the acceleration and deceleration time
The following parameters are used to set motor acceleration/deceleration time.
Set a larger value for a slower acceleration/deceleration, and a smaller value for a faster acceleration/deceleration.
For the acceleration time at automatic restart after instantaneous power failure, refer to Pr.611 Acceleration time at a restart
(page
448).

Description
Set the frequency that will be the basis of acceleration/
deceleration time. As acceleration/deceleration time, set the
frequency change time from a stop status to Pr.20.
Increment: 0.1 s
Select the increment for the
acceleration/deceleration time
Increment: 0.01 s
setting.
Set the acceleration/deceleration time for JOG operation (from
stop status to Pr.20).
Refer to
page
224.
Set the acceleration time for restart (from stop status to Pr.20).
Standard acceleration time (for example, Pr.7) is applied as the
acceleration time at restart. Refer to
Set the motor acceleration time (from stop status to Pr.20).
Set the motor deceleration time (from Pr.20 to stop status).
Set the acceleration/deceleration time when the RT signal is
ON.
Set the deceleration time when the RT signal is ON.
Acceleration time = deceleration time
Set the frequency where the acceleration/deceleration time
switches to the time set in Pr.44 and Pr.45.
No function
Set the acceleration time in a low-speed range (less than 10%
of the rated motor frequency).
The acceleration time set in Pr.7 is applied. (While RT signal is
ON, the second function is enabled.)
Set the deceleration time in a low-speed range (less than 10%
of the rated motor frequency).
The deceleration time set in Pr.8 is applied. (While RT signal is
ON, the second function is enabled.)
Set the torque limit level at a deceleration by turning ON the X92
signal.
The torque limit set to Pr.22 is valid.
Set the motor deceleration time at a deceleration by
turning ON the X92 signal.
