Install a 13" termination panel on the rear of a Nortel Networks Multiservice
Switch 7420 if you do not want to install the termination panels in a rack or
cabinet.
• You need the mounting hardware in the termination panel kit (NTHQ09).
• Nortel Networks recommends that you install the 13" termination panels
before you install the device in a rack.
• Ground yourself to an appropriate anti-static discharge apparatus while
handling the shelf assembly (device).
1 Attach the raised mounting brackets to the rear panel of the chassis as
shown in the figure "Multiservice Switch 7420 termination panel mounting
brackets" on page 236.
