DISC REMOVAL / REPLACEMENT

1. Remove brake caliper (see "Brake Caliper Service").

2. Remove cotter pin
, castle nut
3. Remove the wheel hub assembly from the vehicle
and remove the four bolts
hub.
4. Clean the wheel hub mating surface and install new
disc on wheel hub.
5. Apply Loctite® 272 to new bolts, install and torque to
specification.
6. Install wheel hub assembly, washers, and castle nut.
Torque castle nut to specification and install a new
cotter pin.
TORQUE
Rear Brake Disc Mount Bolts:
27 ft-lbs (36 Nm)
Rear Hub Castle Nut:
110 ft-lbs (150 Nm)
Front Hub Castle Nut:
90 ft-lbs (122 Nm)
7. Install rear brake caliper (see "BRAKE CALIPER
SERVICE"). Follow the bleeding procedure outlined
earlier in this chapter.
8. Field test unit for proper braking action before putting
into service. Inspect for fluid leaks and firm brakes.
Make sure the brake is not dragging when pedal is
released. If the brake drags, re-check assembly and
installation.
