13. Inspect the ring gear
for inconsistent wear patterns
or damage. The surfaces should be free of nicks or
burrs.
14. Inspect roll cage (B) sliding surface. This surface
must be clean and free of nicks, burrs or scratches.
Inspect the H-springs, but do not remove them
from the roll cage.
15. Inspect the armature plate for a consistent wear
pattern. Uneven wear of the armature plate indicates
a warped plate, which may cause intermittent
operation.
