In order to form a distinctive subnet, the network interface of a remote LAN host must be configured
with the same VLAN ID as defined on the router. Further, 802.1P introduces a priority field which
influences packet scheduling in the TCP/IP stack.
The following priority levels (from lowest to highest) exist:
