SYSTEM CONFIGURATION WITH USER INTERFACE

Chapter Overview
With a ROV system, the Sonar UI is used for system configuration and operator control. Refer
to the RESON Sonar UI User Manual (see Appendix E Reference Documentation).
With an AUV system, the Sonar UI is needed for operator control during system setup and test
only. Refer to the RESON Sonar UI User Manual (see Appendix E Reference Documentation).
During AUV system operation, all communication will be between the SSP and the customer-
provided Vehicle Control Computer. The output during operation is a data stream in
accordance with the Data Format Definition document (see appendix E.1 SeaBat T-Series
Subsea Documentation).
This chapter includes instructions of the following subjects (click the emphasized hyperlink to be

Sonar User Interface (SUI): Consists of brief instructions on starting the Sonar User
Interface.
Remote Operation: Consists of instructions on how to control the sonar from a
remote PC.
Remote Desktop Session: Consists of instructions on how to establish a remote
desktop session.
Folder Management: Consists of instructions on file sharing and renaming of
computer or workgroup.
