Create DAS Client

Under the DAS Interface properties, the Add new Client button appears. Clicking it opens a pop-
up client creation pane.
Only administrator users can create additional clients. For the user without

administrative privileges, the create client button is disabled.
It is recommended that the default name be accepted, but it is not required. Be sure that the name
specified manually does not duplicate an existing client name.

Enter The client name. It must not duplicate an existing client
name.
Select The client will operate with the selected logical library.
Enter The host name of the computer running the client
software (DNS name for the local or remote host,
localhost for the local host, or any for any host)
Check Scalar DLC software returns an error if a client tries to
eject a cartridge into an eject area with no free slots.
Don't Scalar DLC software does not execute a dismount
check when a client tries to mount a cartridge into an occupied
drive.
Don't A client without supervisor privileges cannot use drives
