• DETENT SPRING
ADJUSTMENT:
1) Set the detent spring and the detent assisted spring in the

"N" (Neutral) position of the shift link B, and tighten the 6 x
12 mm flange bolt as shown.

2) Holding the detent spring and the detent assisted spring in

the position described in the step 1 and the 6 x 12 mm
flange bolt tightened, check that the end of the neutral
14
switch is pushed in the end of the projection that is on the
shift arm securely.

If not, adjust by loosening the 6 x 12 mm flange bolt and
moving the detent spring back and forth.

• If the end of the neutral switch is not pushed in the end of
the projection by moving the detent spring, check the
17
detent spring or the shift arm for deformation or damage.
Replace the detent spring or the shift arm if necessary.

3) After adjustment, perform the shift cable adjustment (P. 3-
19 20).
