d. REASSEMBLY
1) Check the relief valve for scores, scratches or other
damage. Apply engine oil to the relief valve and the relief

valve spring.

2) Set the relief valve and the relief valve spring in the oil
pump body. Set a new 14 mm sealing washer on the 14
mm sealing bolt, and tighten the 14 mm sealing bolt to the

specified torque.

TORQUE: 29 N . m (3.0 kgf . m, 21 lbf . ft)

3) Insert the 5 x 17.8 mm roller into the oil pump shaft, and
install the 13 mm thrust washer and the oil pump shaft in
the oil pump body.

4) Clean the inner rotor and the outer rotor thoroughly.

Apply engine oil to the outer rotor, and install it with the
punch mark toward the oil pump body.

5) Apply engine oil to the inner rotor, and install it in the oil

pump body.
16 • Install the rotor facing it in the same direction as it faced
before disassembly.

Apply engine oil to a new 56 x 2.5 mm O-ring, and install it
on the oil pump body.

Install the oil pump cover on the oil pump body, and
tighten the three 6 x 16 mm screws securely.
19 After installation, turn the oil pump shaft and check
whether the rotor moves smoothly.
