n If the cleaning area is exposed to direct sunlight or strong light, close curtains and blinds to block out light.
n Use manual cleaning in the vicinity of automatic doors, window glass, and reflective products such as mirrors.
* An error may occur if autonomous cleaning is used.
n Some objects laying on a floor may not be detected as obstacles depending on their size (slippers, cords,
retracting electrical outlets). Remove any such objects before teaching a cleaning route.
n For a cleaning area with objects such as pillars etc., teach a cleaning route manually.
n Since the machine may not be able to avoid places where people suddenly pop out in front of the machine
(such as kids area), decorations hung from a wall, handrails, etc., please do not include it in the cleaning route
or remove them from the route beforehand.
n Also see "Sensor Detection Range".
n Safety instructions when operating near escalators, steps, stairs or moving platforms:
If the machine is operating in a space with an escalator or stairs with steps less than 6 cm (2.5 inches) along
its route, please set a physical barrier in front of the steps.
If the machine enters a moving escalator, there is a risk of it falling down the steps. While the machine is
equipped with cliff detection sensors, the sensors may not detect downward steps less than 6 cm (2.5 inches)
in height and it may fall down the steps.
Requirements for the physical barrier and its placement:
The barrier should be a height between 20 cm and 60 cm above the floor and be placed to block entry to steps,
an escalator, moving platforms and stairs.
The barrier must be heavy enough and stable enough not to fall or move if hit by the machine's bumper (Soft floor:
3kg, Hard floor: 6kg).
The gap between the barrier and the step should be less than 45 cm to prevent the machine from moving past
the barrier and entering the steps, escalator or moving platform.
The surface of the barrier should not be reflective (e.g. mirrored) or light-transmitting (e.g. glass, net, fence).

Robot Operations Center (ROC)

n Before using the machine, please confirm the user's LTE connection. The machine will not be able to connect
to ROC in an environment with no LTE connection.

Notification Pager

n
To allow the notification pager to receive alert messages from the machine, perform pairing with the
notification pager (⇒see "Notification Pager").
