Replacing the seat frame with seat brackets (standard seat)

Prerequisites:
Switch off the control unit and deactivate the main fuse (see Page 15).
Remove the legrests.
Remove the seat cushion and back padding.
Tools: Allen wrench size 5; open-ended or ring wrench size 13; torque wrench with Allen insert size 5
Removing the seat frame and seat brackets (standard seat)
1) Remove the legrest holder (see Page 110).
2) Remove the back (see Page 92).
3) Remove the seat plate (see Page 74).
4) Remove the side panels and side panel holders (see Page 101).
5) INFORMATION: Note the installed position of the cables and cable attachments.
Remove or open the cable attachments along the seat frame (see Fig. 176, item 1).
6) Loosen and remove the 3 screws and nuts between the seat frame and seat brackets on both sides (see Fig. 177,
item 1).
7) Remove the seat frame. Remove or open additional cable attachments if necessary.
8) If necessary: Remove the seat brackets (see Fig. 167, item 2). To do so, loosen and remove 2 screws each on
all 4 seat brackets (see Fig. 177, item 3).
Installing the seat frame and seat brackets (standard seat)
1) Attach the 4 seat brackets to the frame according to their original installed position (see Fig. 177, item 2). To do

4) Position the cables according to their original installed position. To do so, attach or close the loosened cable
attachments along the seat frame.
5) Install the side panel holders and side panels (see Page 101).
6) Install the seat plate (see Page 74).
7) Install the back (see Page 92).
8) Install the legrest holder (see Page 110).
9) Check and adjust the seat's centre of gravity (see PagePage 78 ff.).
