Phase Rotation for QD Cable

Each connector on QD Cable is marked with Phase ID C1, C2 and C3 which shows the phase rotation across the
connectors in the QD Cable as shown in below Figure 67 and the similar phase rotation arrangement continues across
the cable.
QD Cable has two different configurations for SKUs to achieve phase rotation, phase balancing and to maintain maximum
1% voltage rise in QD Cable. The following are two different configurations for QD Cable SKUs:

Cable configurations for QD-12-10-150 (4.6 ft QD Cable SKU) and QD-12-20-135 (7.9 ft QD Cable SKU)

QD-12-10-150 and QD-12-20-135 shall have each connector on the QD Cable is marked with Phase ID C1, C2 and C3 which
shows the phase rotation across the connectors in the QD Cable as shown in below Figure 68 with 150 and 135 connectors
respectively for single SKU.

Cable configurations for QD-12-42-63 (15.1 ft QD Cable SKU)

The QD-12-42-63 cable includes a center-tapping connector in an alternating pattern after sequences four and five
connectors as shown in Figure 69. The center-tapping connector follows a similar pattern of sequence throughout the QD
Cable QD-12-42-63 (15.1 ft QD Cable SKU). Utilizing the center-tapping connectors for AC branch connection shall ensure
<1% voltage rise in QD Cable hence center feeding is recommended for all installations with QD-12-42-63 (15.1 ft QD
Cable SKU). Refer to section "Design Considerations for Voltage Rise in Commercial PV Design Guide IQ8D Microinverter
System" for details on voltage rise calculations and installation guidelines for center tapping of branch circuit with QD-12-
42-63 cable installations.
