Export limiting for an IQ8D System shall require following system components:
01 IQ8D Series Microinverters (Maximum 165
Microinverters per IQ8D Commercial Gateway).
02 IQ8D Commercial Gateway. Note that a site must
have only a single IQ8D Commercial Gateway
installed to be PEL capable. Sites with multiple
Gateways cannot perform Power Export Limit
collectively.
03 Production current transformer (400A) and
Consumption current transformers (600A) fitted and
enabled via the Installer Toolkit.
04 Adequate power line communication between
Gateway and Microinverters – showing three bars

or more in the Installer Toolkit for all installed
Microinverters. Installer should also troubleshoot
and identify if power line communication is degraded
or disrupted by noise using the FFT analysis in ITK.
05 A grid profile for the site which includes Power
Export Limit value set to the export limit required.
If there is no pre-existing grid profile for the export
limit required, contact
request a new custom grid profile.
06 Line communication filter usage shall depend on
PLC strength and noise levels on site based on FFT
analysis.
