J Before device provisioning can occur, the Gateway
must have software version 7.1.61 (or later) installed.
Tap update software to complete this process (takes
approximately 30 minutes).
• Ensure the phone is close to the Gateway, and
do not move the phone away while upgrading
the Gateway. Moving the phone away from the
Gateway could result in problems during Gateway
upgrade.
• Your phone screen must stay active while this
update occurs. Allowing your phone to go to sleep
will interrupt the update.
• After Gateway software update, Gateway will
restart.
• While Gateway is restarting, all four LEDs will
flash red in unison.
• Once the restart is complete, the network
communications LED will light solid green.
• When the Gateway reboots, you will lose AP mode
connectivity on your phone. Once the Gateway
has rebooted successfully, reconnect to Gateway
AP mode in the Wi-Fi settings menu of your
smartphone or tablet.
• If you have issues connecting to AP mode, turn OFF
AP mode on the Gateway by pressing the AP mode
button for one second, and then "forget" the AP
mode network in your smartphone or tablet Wi-Fi
settings.
• Repeat steps Step D to Step G to reconnect to the
Gateway.
• Installer Toolkit will take approximately 10 minutes
to correctly display system metrics (including web
connectivity) after re-boot.
• The Gateway requires a means of communicating
to the web to display Internet connectivity. Ensure
that the Gateway Wi-Fi access has been configured,

or that the Ethernet connection and cell modem
connection is established.
• If, after completing the previous step, the Gateway
software version shown on the update software
button does not match the Gateway software
version shown below the button, then the update
has failed, and you must tap update software
again.
• Tap Start Provisioning Devices at the bottom of the
Gateway Connectivity screen.
