Photovoltaic Hazard Control System

To enable installed system to comply as a Photovoltaic Hazard Control System (PVHCS) installers shall at a minimum
perform the following tasks.
Before installing or using the Enphase Microinverter in a system, read all instructions and cautionary markings in the
technical descriptions, on the Enphase equipment and all other photovoltaic (PV) equipment.
Photovoltaic Hazard Control System (PVHCS), System Equipment:
Inverter
Enphase Models IQ8D-72-E-US UL Listed to all current UL1741 requirements, including PV Rapid Shutdown (PVRS).
PV modules:
The inverters used in this PV Hazard Control system shall be connected to up to two series connected PV modules with a
maximum DC Input voltage of no greater than 119V under any circumstances. The installation location coldest anticipated
operating ambient needs to be used to calculate the PV maximum voltage in accordance with NEC 690.7. The PVHC PV
modules must be listed by a NRTL to UL 1703 and/or UL 61730-1 and UL 61730-2 (excluding Class 0 and Class I).
PV Mounting System:
Listed by NTRL to UL 2703 and rated for use with the specific PV modules noted above. If the PVHC does not make use of
a certified UL2703 mounting system including the certification defined specific PV module types (also listed and rated as
noted above), then the non-certified combinations of mounting and PV modules shall be evaluated for loading, mounting,
and grounding per the NEC and other applicable installation codes.
PV Wiring Harnesses and Connectors:
List includes Harnesses and Connectors that can be used. Specific installations will determine final list and number of
harnesses/connectors required. Any connectors used or reused shall be mated:
A to connectors from the same manufacturer and series number or
B
to connectors Listed for intermatability.
