IQ8D System Commissioning Process

01 System Details
A Open Installer Toolkit. Tap the Systems tab in the
lower left side of the screen.
B If an activation has not previously been completed
using Enlighten Manager, complete Step 1 in Installer
Toolkit (Input system details including address grid
profile, phase/voltage details etc.)
• A grid profile is not selected by default for an
activation created in Enlighten Manager. When
prompted, select the default profile for your
area.

02 Devices & Array
A. Enter the total count of each device type to be added in
the system.
B. If retrofitting an existing site, Microinverters will
appear in the activation.
C. Add Gateway by using camera scan to read the
barcode.
D. Select the correct grid profile applicable for your region
and meets the PV system requirements. Contact

C In the Enlighten Manger/ITK user interface under site
activation, select whether the system is residential or
commercial.
D For all commercial sites, select the Voltage and Phase
information.
E For all commercial sites, select the PV module rating,
Type of module, manufacturer, and model.

Enphase customer service to request a new custom
grid profile If there is no pre-existing grid profile
meeting local AHJ requirements.
E. Use the ITK Array Builder to build your virtual array.
Post array builder, scan all the Microinverters using
ITK camera scan to read the barcodes and proceed to
create the array from scanned Microinverters to assign
IQ8D Microinverter to two panels in array builder.
NOTE: Do not use PLC scan function on Gateway to detect
the IQ8D Microinverters.
