Refer to the following scenarios for understanding the impact of different type of system installations on the phase
balancing. Please note that these scenarios can be extrapolated to different system sizes based on installation
requirements –
Scenario 1: An IQ8D System with 45 Microinverters has 5 AC branch circuits of 9 IQ8D Microinverters each and has used
7.9 ft QD Cable SKU QD-12-20-135 with end feeding of AC branch circuit.
The following system diagram explains how the phase balancing is achieved using QD Cable rotation. Similar
methodology can be used for any system size.
NOTE: Scenario 1 assumes no connectors are skipped during the installation. If the installation require skipping few connectors, refer to
scenario 5 to assess impact on the phase balance for the system.
