Power Line Filters

Enphase offers a 400A power line filter for IQ8D System installation. QD-LCF-400-3P is specific for the IQ System Power
Line Communication (PLC) frequency. You can use it to filter electrical noise or signals between multiple IQ8D Commercial
Gateways and their respective communication domains, and/or noise sources from loads or other devices in commercial
and industrial settings. Do not cross filtered Load and Line connected conductors or run them in the same conduit, this
would defeat the purpose of line filtering. Also, do not run filtered Load conductors from more than one IQ8D Commercial
Gateway communication domain in the same conduit or cable tray.
400 A Filter (SKU: QD-LCF-400-3P):
The filter must be protected by a 400A or smaller OCPD. When installing a power line filter in an IQ8D System, the IQ8D
Micros and the IQ8D Commercial Gateway must ALL be located on the load side of the filter. A 400A limit of the filter limits
the communication domain to 144kW AC at 208Y/120V.
Installation Instructions:
The filter can be wall or flat surface mounted using 6x
M10 or M12 screws.
The 400A LC Filter has open terminal connections
and for safety the filter must be installed inside a
lockable electrical panel or an enclosed housing
taking proper electrical codes and clearance spaces
into consideration. We recommend using insulation
sleaves/ heat shrink tubes to fully cover the open
connections/terminals.

For the electrical connections, the terminals have
holes to accommodate an M10 bolt. The wires must
be terminated with #10 lug and fastened to the
terminals using an M10 bolt & nut. Bolt and nut must
be tightened to 160 in-Lb (18 Nm). It must be ensured
that there is good contact (surface) between the lug
and the terminals.
