19. Assemble spacers (11) and fasten screws (35)
and washers (30) just slightly.
20. Center feed mechanism assembly (2) (shift
until centered) and tighten screws (35)
crosswise. Torque = 200 Ncm.
21. Tighten the screws of the flexible membrane
coupling.
22. Install both microswitches (2.2) parallel to the
cylinder guide (4) and fasten with screws (31)
and washers (32). - Torque = 11 ± 1 Ncm.
23. Put cable clamps (40 and 42) in correct position
and fasten with screws (38) and washers (39).
24. Hook in tension spring (19).
25. Measure torque IV.
Attention! Torque IV is temperature-dependent
and may be max. (see table below).
+ 23°C -> 10Ncm
- 25°C -> 12Ncm
- 35°C -> 15Ncm
It is absolutely necessary to verify these values,
as values exceeding those listed above may
lead to problems in the feed mechanism.
26. Insert the micrometer mechanism assembly
from the back into the opening in slider (21) and
fasten it with screws (26).
Attention! Make sure the micrometer
mechanism is exactly centered (adjust if
necessary)!
27. Install the microtome in the chamber and cool
down.
28. Do final check.
Attention! The final check must be performed at
a cryochamber temperature of approx. -25°C
and must include the following steps:

19. Distanzrollen (11) montieren und Schrauben (35)
Scheiben (30) leicht anlegen.
20. Zustelleinheit kpl. (2) durch Verschieben zen-
trisch justieren und die Schrauben (35) über
Kreuz anziehen, Drehmoment = 200 Ncm.
21. Schrauben der Elast. Membrankupplung festzie-
hen.
22. Beide Mikroschalter (2.2) parallel zur Zylinder-
führung (4) montieren und den Schrauben (31) und
Scheiben (32) befestigen, Drehmoment = 11 ± 1
Ncm.
23. Kabelschelle (40 und 42) an Position bringen und
mit den Schrauben (38) und Scheiben (39) befe-
stigen.
24. Zugfeder (19) einhängen.
25. Drehmoment IV messen.
Achtung! Der Drehmoment IV ist temperaturab-
hängig und darf max. bei bestimmten Tempera-
tur betragen.
+ 23°C -> 10Ncm
- 25°C
- 35°C -> 15Ncm
Diese Werte müssen unbedingt überprüft wer-
den, da bei einem erhöhten Wert Zustellproble-
me auftreten können.
26. Mikrometerwerk kpl. von hinten in die Bohrung
des Gleitstücks (21) einführen und mit den sechs
Schrauben (26) befestigen.
Achtung! Auf eine zentrische Justierung ist zu
achten.
27. Mikrotom einbauen und abkühlen.
28. Endtest durchführen.
Achtung! Beim Endtest müssen unbedingt
folgende Werte überprüft werden.
Voraussetzung dafür ist eine Boxtemperatur von
ca. – 25°C.
