W&H grants the buyer – in addition to statutory warranty rights and
without restricting the same – the following warranty rights on new
machines:
I. Duration and commencement of warranty period
1.
A warranty of 12 months is granted. The warranty period com-
mences with the invoice date.
2.
Warranty services and spare parts to meet warranty claims do
not result in an extension of the warranty period.
3.
The supply of consumables and accessories is not included in
the scope of this contract.
II. Warranty conditions
1.
Products must be sold and installed by W&H or a dealer author-
ised by W&H.
2.
Proof of warranty (e.g. purchase invoice) must be produced at
the request of W&H or the authorised service partner.
3.
The product must be properly installed and put to its intended
use.
III. Content and scope of warranty
1.
Machine deficiencies will be remedied within a reasonable
period of time at no charge either through repair or replacement
of the offending parts. Costs incurred in this process including
transportation, call-out costs, labour and the cost of spare parts
are to be borne by W&H or an authorised service partner. Re-
placed parts or machines are the property of W&H.
2.
The warranty does not cover any further claims for damage
against W&H, unless a service agent commissioned by W&H
acts with intent or gross negligence.
3.
The supply of consumables and accessories is not included in
the scope of this contract.
IV. Warranty restrictions
Defects or faults resulting from the following are not covered by war-
ranty:
1.
Improper installation, e.g. non-compliance with relevant safety
regulations and written operating and installation instructions
2.
Improper use and operation such as the use of unsuitable pro-
cess chemicals
3.
Products purchased in another country (cross-border trade)
cannot be used or may only be used conditionally on account of
variant technical specifications (e.g. electrical supply)
