Edge (2D)
Use the 2D command to measure an edge (straight line) on your part. The edge measurement
best-fits an edge through digitized points.
1 Select the FEATURES drawer
in the Toolbox.
2 Select the EDGE group.
3 Select the 2D command.
4 Select the RUN button.
5 Type a name for your measured edge, or use the default name.
6 Choose the previously measured face for the edge. The digitized points are projected to
the face before the best-fit calculation.

If this edge is a datum of your part, select the DATUM check box.
7 Select OK to measure the edge.
