7.3.1 Quick Prime

Note
At the start of operation, the user is prompted after starting the instrument to carry out the
Prime (→ Fig. 98-2) rinsing program. This step is necessary to ensure the flow rate of the mounting
medium through the needle system. The respective coverslip line is ready to operate only after Quick
Prime.
1. After the steps under
Prime (→ Fig. 98-2)
2. Priming lasts approx. 35 seconds and uses approx. 2 ml of mounting medium. This quantity is
taken into account by the CMS.
3. After the rinsing process has been completed, reinsert the needle unit into the holder
(→ Fig. 87) and confirm the corresponding information message with OK.
