2-5 GSM/GPRS/EDGE Signal Analyzer Option Verification
8. Adjust the level of the MG3700A so that the power meter reads –10 dBm ± 0.2 dB. Record the adjusted
power reading into the "Adjusted Output Power" row of
DL_MCS-9_4SLOT Pattern (EDGE)" on page
MS2724B to update its measured results.
9. For MS2723B or MS2724B with Option 40 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE RF Measurements), record the measured
value into the "Displayed Burst Power" row of
value from the "Adjusted Output Power" reading that was obtained in Step 8. Then record the
"Calculated Burst Power Error" (in units of watt) and the displayed value of Frequency Error into
Table
A-53.
10. For MS2723B or MS2724B with Option 41 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE Demodulator), record the displayed
EVM(rms) into
Table A-61, "At 1800 MHz, –10 dBm Level, DL_MCS-9_4SLOT Pattern (EDGE)"
on page
A-25.
11. Verify that the measured values in Step
12. Change the frequency of MG3700A to 850 MHz.
13. On the power meter, press the Sensor key, the Cal Factor soft key, and then the Freq soft key. Use the
keypad to enter 850 MHz as the input signal frequency, which sets the power meter to the proper power
sensor calibration factor. Press the System key to display the power reading.
14. Adjust the level of the MG3700A so that the power meter reads –50 dBm ± 0.2 dB. Record the adjusted
power reading into the "Adjusted Output Power" row of
DL_MCS-9_4SLOT Pattern (EDGE)" on page
15. On the MS2723B or MS2724B, set the Center Freq to 850 MHz. Then wait 15 seconds to allow the
MS2723B or MS2724B to update its measured results.
16. For MS2723B or MS2724B with Option 40 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE RF Measurements), record the measured
value into the "Displayed Burst Power" row of
value from the "Adjusted Output Power" reading that was obtained in Step 14. Then record the
"Calculated Burst Power Error" (in units of watt) and the displayed value of Frequency Error into
Table
A-54.
17. For MS2723B or MS2724B with Option 41 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE Demodulator), record the displayed
EVM(rms) into
Table A-62, "At 850 MHz, –50 dBm Level, DL_MCS-9_4SLOT Pattern (EDGE)"
on page
A-25.
18. Verify that the measured values in Step
19. On the MG3700A, change the selected pattern to "DL_MCS-9_1SLOT".
20. Adjust the level of the MG3700A so that the power meter reads –10 dBm ± 0.2 dB. Record the adjusted
power reading into the "Adjusted Output Power" row of
DL_MCS-9_1SLOT Pattern (EDGE)" on page
MS2724B to update its measured results.
21. For MS2723B or MS2724B with Option 40 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE RF Measurements), record the measured
value into the "Displayed Burst Power" row of
value from the "Adjusted Output Power" reading that was obtained in Step 14. Then record the
"Calculated Burst Power Error" (in units of watt) and the displayed value of Frequency Error into
Table
A-55.
22. For MS2723B or MS2724B with Option 41 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE Demodulator), record the displayed
EVM(rms) into
Table A-63, "At 850 MHz, –10 dBm Level, DL_MCS-9_1SLOT Pattern (EDGE)"
on page
A-25.
23. Verify that the measured values in Step
