Downloading the Database
This procedure requires a bootable 3½-inch 1.44MB diskette, formatted
for MS-DOS 5.0, at the new ICP. To format a diskette and make it
bootable, insert it into a 5.0 system and type:
1. If installing a new INM into an existing network, go step 2. If installing the
first INM in a new network:
a. Configure a database as described in Section II of the User Guide.
b. Connect all trunk cables from the INM to other FRX8000s.
c. Go to step 2.
Steps 2–32 are performed at the new node. Steps 33–38 apply only to a
new INM in an existing network, and are done at an INM in the opera-
tional network.
2. Switch on the VGA monitor or Auxiliary Console (and modems if part of the
configuration), then the printer (if present), then the INM.
3. When the following is displayed (after a few seconds):

Type Control-D to proceed with normal startup
(or give root password for system maintenance)

5. The current system date and time will be displayed. Press
displayed values, or enter the correct values, in the format:

year, month, or day, you must enter the entire string.
