If installing the Auxiliary Console option, set up the terminal as
described in the user documentation that accompanied it (Cabletron
does not provide the terminal). Configure the terminal for:
Autowrap
No newline
Tab every 8 columns 8 bits no parity
This completes the hardware installation. Go to "Create/Load Database Records."

Create/Load Database Records

These procedures differ depending on the FRX8000 types.
Make sure all necessary database records for a new node (Node, LP,
Port, Subscriber, etc.) have been created in the network database before
connecting the node into the network.
Enterprise Switch
This procedure requires an attached monitor and keyboard.
You must configure one port in an Enterprise Switch to be a trunk to another
FRX8000 (of any type) on the network. Later, all necessary database records for
the local node will come from an operational ICP, or INM; however, the node
needs a trunk to establish initial communication.
Steps 1–6 of this procedure are performed at the new node, and steps 7–
12 are performed at an INM in the operational network.
