Installing the Smart Array 221
Controller
Review the following procedures and use the Smart Array 221 Controller
Installation Poster and your server user guide to install the Smart Array 221
Controller.
1.
Select an available expansion slot in your ProLiant server.
2.
Gain access to the expansion slot.
3.
Press the Smart Array 221 Controller firmly into the slot so that the
contacts on the board edge sit fully in the system board connector.
4.
If necessary, re-secure the expansion slot.
