WARNING: Compaq ProLiant 6000/6000R and 7000/7000R
Servers: To reduce the risk of personal injury from contact with
hazardous energy, this equipment is provided with a safety interlock.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety interlock.
When the access cover is removed, the power supply is disabled
until the cover is properly replaced.
See the "About this Guide" section in this guide for more
information about safety
CAUTION: To prevent loss of data or damage to the equipment, place
the system in STANDBY before removing the top access panel, side
access panels or removable media interlock bar [6000 and 7000
only]. When one of these panels or the interlock bar is removed, the
power supply is disabled until the panel [or bar] is properly replaced.
CAUTION: If you will be moving non-arrayed SCSI drives to the Smart
Array 221 Controller, backup all of your data. Data are not preserved
when drives are moved between array controllers and non-array
controllers.
CAUTION: In systems using external data storage, be sure the server
is the first unit powered down and the last to be powered back up. This
ensures that the system does not erroneously mark the drives as
"failed."
WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces,
allow the internal system components and hot-plug drives to cool before
touching.
