12.3 Connecting the earthing cables

(See "Figure 40")
The Figure shows a simplified illustration of the interface plate
extension arm and cables, etc.
1.
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 12.1 on Page 60.
2.
Cut all green/yellow earthing cables (2.5mm² and 10mm²) to the
correct length.
3.
Route the earthing cables through the strain relieving mechanism
and connect them to the series terminals 4mm² or 10mm² on the
earthing terminal block① on the interface plate
4.
Check that the earthing cables are securely in place in the strain re-
lieving mechanisms②:
All earthing cables must be securely installed in the strain relieving
mechanisms②.
12.4 Installing the voltage selection plug and con-
necting the power cables
12.4.1 Installing the voltage selection plug for the 120V / 230V
power supply
(See "Figure 41")
1.
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 12.1 on Page 60.
Power supply failure
If the 120  V or 230  V voltage selection plug is incorrectly
assigned to the existing power supply, the internal fuse
blows and the motor arm becomes inoperable:
• When installing the corresponding voltage selection
plug, make sure that it is correctly assigned to the
existing power supply.
• If the fuse blows, it can be replaced as described in
Chapter 12.4.2 on Page 63.
1.
If required, swing the electronic unit out of the motor arm as de-
scribed in Chapter 11.3 on Page 47.
2.
Check the power supply at the installation site and plug the correct
voltage selection plug③ onto the socket② of the main board①:
For a 100-120V power supply, use the 120V voltage selection plug
For a 220-240V power supply, use the 230V voltage selection plug
