Stopping the engine

Risk of accident
Only remove the key from the ignition lock
when the vehicle is stationary. There is no
servo assistance for the steering and brake
when the engine is not running. Significantly
greater force is then needed to steer the ve-
hicle and brake.
Move the selector lever to P.
Turn the key to position 0 ( page 55)
in the ignition lock and remove it.
The immobiliser* is activated.
Turn the steering wheel until the steer-
ing wheel lock engages.
Switch off the battery isolating switch*
( page 54).

Whenever you stop the vehicle, always re-
move the key to prevent the battery from dis-
charging.
