Make sure that the ignition is switched
on.
Make sure that locking slide 1 has
been slid to the right.
To switch the side lamps on: turn
light switch 2 to C.
The side lamps, tail lamps, instrument
lighting and licence plate illumination
are switched on.
To switch the dipped-beam head-
lamps on: turn light switch 2 to B.
The dipped-beam headlamps or main-
beam headlamps ( page 71) are
switched on.
To switch the dipped-beam
headlamps/side lamps off: turn light
switch 2 to 0.

A warning sounds if you remove the key
from the ignition lock and open the driver's door
while the side lamps or dipped-beam headlamps
are switched on.
Constant headlamp mode*
Constant headlamp mode is switched on
when the engine is started.
To switch on: turn the light switch to
M.
The dipped-beam headlamps, side
lamps and licence plate lighting are lit
when the engine is running.
