Changing the wiper blades

Notes on changing a wiper blade

Risk of injury
Remove the key from the ignition lock be-
fore replacing the wiper blades. The wind-
screen wipers could otherwise be set in
motion and injure you.

Risk of accident
Wiper blades are wear parts. Change the
wiper blades twice a year, preferably in the
spring and autumn. Otherwise, the wind-
screen will no longer be wiped properly. You
may no longer be able to observe the traffic
conditions and could cause an accident.

Never open the bonnet if a wiper arm is fold-
ed forwards. Otherwise, you will damage the
bonnet.
Carefully place the wiper arms without the wiper
blades onto the windscreen. You could other-
wise damage the windscreen.
Only hold the wiper blade by the windscreen wip-
er arm. You could otherwise damage the wiper
rubbers.

Removing
Fold the wiper arm away from the win-
dow until you feel it engage.
Position the wiper blade at right angles.

1 Locking spring
2 Wiper blade
3 Wiper arm
4 Hinge piece
Press locking spring 1 and slide wiper
blade 2 out of wiper arm 3 along
with joint piece 4.
