Battery isolating switch*
The battery isolating switch is located on
the lower section of the centre console.

To switch on: turn battery isolating
switch 1 to position 3.
The vehicle's electrical system is sup-
plied with battery voltage.

Make sure that the switch for the winch is
switched off. The battery could become dis-
charged.
To switch off: make sure that the igni-
tion is switched off ( page 55).
Turn battery isolating switch 1 to po-
sition 2.
The vehicle's electrical system is dis-
connected from the battery.

If you switch off the battery isolating switch
while the auxiliary heating* is switched on, the
vehicle's electrical system will only be discon-
nected from the battery eight minutes after the
auxiliary heating* has switched off.
The hazard warning lamps only operate if the
battery isolating switch is turned on.
If the differential locks are engaged, the vehi-
cle's electrical system will only be disconnected
from the battery 45 seconds after switching off
the battery isolating switch.
