Problem
- The yellow ABS warning
lamp is lit while the en-
gine is running.

v The yellow ABS indicator
lamp and the yellow ABS
warning lamp come on
while you are driving.
! The red handbrake indi-
cator lamp is lit while the
engine is running.

consequence

Risk of accident
ABS has been deactivated due
to undervoltage. It may be that
the battery is not being
charged.
The brake system continues to
work normally, but without elec-
tronic support. The wheels can
therefore lock, e.g. as a result of
a full brake application.
You have engaged the differen-
tial locks. ABS is switched off.
The handbrake is applied.

Suggested solutions
Switch off consumers which are not required, e.g. interior
lighting, etc.
ABS is available again when the battery voltage increases.
ABS is reactivated once you have disengaged the differential
locks.
Release the handbrake.
The indicator lamp goes out.
