Heating and air-conditioning system*
Switching the cooling on/off
The vehicle interior is cooled and dehumid-
ified when the cooling system is switched
on.

Switch on the cooling system for around ten
minutes at least once a month. The air-condition-
ing system could otherwise be damaged.
To switch on: turn temperature con-
trol 2 for the air-conditioning system
fully clockwise.
To switch off: turn temperature con-
trol 2 for the air-conditioning system
fully anti-clockwise.

You can also briefly switch on air-recircula-
tion mode if you wish to cool your vehicle rapidly.
Switching the blower on/off
The blower speed is set on the heating sys-
tem control panel.

To switch on: press the upper section
of blower switch 1 once.
The switch is set to ventilation level I.
The air supply and air-circulation functions
also switch off when you switch off the
blower.
To switch off: press the lower section
of blower switch 1 to the stop.

You should only switch off the ventilation
briefly. The windows could otherwise mist up.
Setting the temperature
To increase: slide the heating system
temperature controller to the right.
To reduce: slide the heating system
temperature controller to the left.

Basic settings
The windscreen and footwell are always
ventilated to a slight extent, regardless of
the air-distribution setting.
Heating mode
You can heat your vehicle in cold weather
using the basic setting for heating mode.

For virtually draught-free ventilation, move
the centre air vent sliders to a central position
and set the side air vent adjusting tabs to the
horizontal.
Press the upper section of the blower
switch twice.
The switch is set to ventilation level II.
The windows could otherwise mist up.
Slide the air-distribution control to the
right.
Turn the thumbwheel on the centre air
vent down as far as possible.
