Risk of accident
Do not keep any objects in the driver's foot-
well. If floormats or a carpet are fitted in the
driver's footwell, make sure that they are se-
cured properly and that the pedals have suf-
ficient clearance.
Objects could otherwise get caught be-
tween the pedals if you accelerate or brake
suddenly. You would then be unable to de-
press the brake or accelerator pedal as nec-
essary. This could lead to an accident or
injury.

Starting the engine

Never run the engine in enclosed spaces.
Exhaust fumes contain poisonous carbon
monoxide. Inhaling exhaust fumes is hazard-
ous to your health and can lead to uncon-
sciousness and death.

Do not depress the accelerator pedal during
the starting procedure.

If you depress the brake pedal during the
starting procedure, the pedal travel will be unu-
sually long and the pedal resistance low.
If you depress the brake pedal after the starting
procedure, pedal travel and resistance will re-
turn to normal.
