6.1 Removing and installing the high level
brake light - Octavia
Removing
– Switch off the ignition and all electrical components.
– Remove the tailgate trim panel ⇒ Body Work; Rep. gr. 70 .
– Unscrew screws -2- (0.8 Nm).
– Release pre-assembly latches -arrows-.
Note
To facilitate releasing the latches, a welding wire ∅ 4 mm must
be used, which is reworked and used as shown.
a = 8 mm
b = 115 mm
c = 120 mm
– Unplug connector -1-.
– Remove high level brake light.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence.
Note
The high level brake light is fitted with LEDs which cannot be re‐
placed individually.
