Encoder Battery Life The servo motors in Adept Python modules with MB-10 amplifiers have a serial absolute encoder. Each module is calibrated before shipment. An external encoder backup battery is shipped with each module, and is located inside the motor cover. All Python modules up to 1600 mm in stroke length employ precision ground ball screws manufactured by Kuroda corporation. 15 mm diameter screws are used in all modules up to and including lengths of 1000 mm.
