Select a datastore large enough to accommodate the virtual machine and all of its virtual disk
files.
Click Next. The Deploy OVF Template Disk Format screen appears.
11. Click Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed.
Click Next.
12. If the network defined in the OVF template doesn't match the name of the template on the host
to which you are deploying vPS-1, you are prompted to configure Network Mapping. Contact
your Data Center administrator for more details about which Network Mapping to use.
13. Click Next. The Deploy OVF Template Deployment Ready to Complete screen appears.
14. Review the information.
Select Power on After Deployment.
Click Finish.
vPS-1 will be generated and deployed on the server, and the virtual machine will be powered up.
Time: This process may take up to 10 minutes to complete depending on network traffic
and the performance of the server.
15. When the dialog indicating that the deployment is complete appears, click Close.
vPS-1 appears in the inventory list in the left side navigation pane.
16. Click on the newly created vPS-1.
17. When the vPS-1 has powered up, you can begin configuring the USB port to accommodate the
HASP license key.
IMPORTANT
To associate the Base Server and the PS-1 on the LAN:
Refer to page 325 under the "Expanding by Adding a PS-1" section for the procedure to associate
the Base Server and the PS1 on the customer's network.
To configure the PS-1 on the LAN:
Refer to page 326 under the "Expanding by Adding a PS-1" section for the procedure to configure
the PS-1 on the customer's network.

Configuring and Adding a New USB Port and License Key

1. Insert the HASP license key into a spare port on the VMware ESX server.
2. Select the vPS-1 virtual machine from the inventory list in the left side navigation pane.
3. Right-click and choose Edit Settings, or select Edit virtual machine settings from the Basic
Tasks list on the right navigation pane.
4. Select the Hardware tab and click Add. . ..
The Device Type screen displays.
5. Select USB Device and Click Next.
The list of connected USB devices will appear.
The PS-1 and Base Server must be connected to the network on the same LAN,
VLAN, and subnet. For additional details, see "Network Environment
page 1-307
