MiVoice Office 250 Installation and Administration Guide
Software downgrades from v6.2 GA to v4.x or v5.x are supported. However, software downgrades
to v3.x or earlier are not supported. To revert to a v3.x system, remove the v6.2 GA compact flash-type
memory card, install a v3.x compact flash-type memory card, and then restore a v3.x database.
Once an existing system is upgraded to v4.0, v5.x, v6.0, or v6.2GA, its database and compact
flash-type memory card are interchangeable between CS Controller hardware and HX Controller
hardware.
Enterprise Messaging is not compatible with 5000 v6.0 or later software.
If using Customer Service Manager (CSM) as the system's customer interaction solution, upgrade
CSM to v5.1 Service Pack 4 (or later) in order to ensure full compatibility with the 5000 v6.0 Meet-Me
Conferencing and OfficeLink Assistant features. Refer to the latest CSM documentation for upgrade
details.

Storage and Space Limitations

NOTICE
Version 6.1 requires a minimum one GB compact flash-type memory card. The 512 MB card is not
supported in v4.0 or later.
If installing voice prompts, MOH files, or using UM Forward and Copy, keep in mind space limitations
on the compact flash-type memory card. To maximize memory, install only the necessary language
prompt package(s), and remove all others.
When upgrading, the system checks to make sure there is enough available free space (about 125
MB) on the compact flash-type memory card. If there is not enough space to complete the upgrade
for all packages, a dialog box appears warning you, and the upgrade process is stopped. Delete
unneeded voice mail messages, languages, MOH files, etc. to free up space, or upgrade to a larger
compact flash-type memory card, and then restart the system upgrade.
If upgrading an existing compact flash-type memory card (upgrade option two described on the
previous page), note that the largest package in the "core_upgrade" set of packages is approximately
25 MB. Be sure to use a TFTP server that can handle larger files.
UVM (BVM) Voice Data Storage
There have been some changes to the voice data capacity limits on the Compact Flash. This was
necessary to allow appropriate space for the v5.0 system software and allow for future functionality.
To ensure that you have appropriate space, look at the table below.
Note that the compact flash size does not increase the voice mail storage on a PS-1 since Unified
Voice Messaging uses the hard drive to store the voice mail data. See
