Note:
After a power failure, manual adjustment of the latch shaft, or servicing, it is
possible that no clear position can be recognized. Irrespective of whether
the control shaft is in an intermediate position or the position switch has not
activated, the motor will be activated in the opening direction until a clear
position is identified. During this procedure, it is possible that the action of
the internal safety slip coupling can be clearly heard.

Combination Dispenser

Reed switch

Solenoid
The dispenser contains a solenoid that is activated via pulses to dispense
detergent and rinse aid. The first pulse opens the detergent dispenser flap.
All following pulses then dispense rinse aid.
During detergent dispensing the solenoid is activated by a brief pulse and
this allows the detergent dispenser flap to open.
Rinse aid is dispensed in pulses. Each solenoid pulse dispenses
approximately 0.03 fluid ounces (1 milliliter) of rinse aid into the cabinet
interior. 3 solenoid pulses are therefore required to dispense the normal
quantity of rinse aid of 0.1 fluid ounces (3 milliliters) per wash. Each pulse
is applied for approximately 10 seconds so that there is sufficient time for
the rinse aid to flow into the cabinet. The pause between individual pulses
is also approximately 10 seconds.
If the rinse aid container is empty, a reed switch is activated and this
lights up an LED in the control panel or display. The rinse aid container
has a capacity of 3.7 fluid ounces (110 milliliters).
