Configuring for Multi-Point Operation

This procedure provides an example of the steps to be followed when initially configuring the 5000
analyzer System for Multi-Point operation. In this example, the analyzer will be setup for the fol-
lowing conditions:
• Two points are to be analyzed. The external solenoid valves used to switch between the two
points are properly wired to SAMPLE outputs 1 and 2 on Controller TB9.
Point 1 has typical moisture concentration of ≈ 50 ppm. Only one analog output range is
required. Concentration of 60 ppm should trigger an alarm; there is no low alarm required.
• Point 2 has typical moisture concentration of ≈10ppm. Concentration of 15 ppm should trig-
ger an alarm; there is no low alarm required.
• Analyzer has been factory calibrated for symmetric sample/reference cycle; complete cycle is
60 seconds. Sample should be switched between Point 1 and Point 2 every 10 minutes.
• Current moisture concentration for Point 1 is to be shown on display line 1. Point 2 on dis-
play line 2. Time remaining in current cycle and countdown to next verification cycle is to be
shown on display line.
Procedure
When configuring the analyzer, please refer to the Configuration Data Sheet included with this
manual to ascertain the factory default values for each of the parameters to be configured. The
NOTE
defaults may be suitable for the application and may not need to be changed.

toggle 1, 2,3,4 as required until display reads "Streams Slctd 1 2 _ _".
3) Enter high and low range limits for desired resolution on 4 to 20 mA analog outputs 1 (low
range only) and 2: press the
variables to the values given:
