Common commands

Common commands are device commands that are common to all devices on the bus. These
commands are designated and defined by the IEEE-488.2 standard.
Table 5-4 summarizes the common commands used by the Model 7001 and are presented in al-
phabetical order. The following detailed descriptions include programming examples using HP
BASIC 4.0.
Programming syntax information for common commands and SCPI commands is located just
after the tab labled "SCPI Command Subsystems".
