5.5.4.1

Exemplary Depiction of the Characteristic Curve Compensation

The following image clarifies characteristic curve compensation by means of an
example:

In the top part of the image, the characteristic curve is shown for a valve with
positive overlap. The overlap functions as a dead zone, which is undesirable in a
linear system. In the bottom part of the image, it can be seen how a series circuit
compensates for this nonlinearity.
5.5.4.2

Function Block: Nominal Current

This function block is used to specify the absolute maximum value of the
electrical current output.
The setpoint value is specified at a resolution of 0.01% of the set nominal current.
The range of values extends from -100% to +100%. The actual value is displayed
in units of mA. The resolution is 0.1 mA per LSB. A measured value filter can be
activated for this value. The time constant can be parameterized.
