Breathing Pressure Monitoring Alarms

While the ventilator is on, apnea pressure alarms
are generated if the breathing pressure monitor
does not sense a valid breath for a specified period
of time (see »APNEA PRESSURE« on page 156).
While the ventilator is off and the system is in Man-
Spont mode, these alarms are generated at
30 seconds (Caution) and 60 seconds (Warning).

Setting Pressure High and Threshold Alarm

Limits

Follow the procedure "Setting Alarm Limits" on
page 111 to change the breathing pressure high or
threshold alarm limit.
NOTE
The pressure threshold alarm limit should be as
close as possible to the sensed plateau pressure
without exceeding it, approximately 4 cmH
(hPa) below the plateau pressure.
