Auxiliary Fresh-Gas Outlet*

Auxiliary fresh-gas outlet is an option for external
non-rebreathing systems, e.g. Magill, Kuhn,
Waters, Bain (for use with anesthesia machines).
WARNING
Danger to the patient caused by too high pres-
sures
To ensure the correct inspiratory pressure at
the inspiratory port, use only non-rebreathing
systems with a reservoir bag conforming to
ISO 5362 and/or a pressure relief valve.
WARNING
Risk of insufficient gas supply to the patient
Non-rebreathing systems are suitable and
intended only for manual ventilation or spon-
taneous breathing and may only be connected
to the external fresh-gas outlet.
WARNING
Risk of misinterpreting the measurements
The measurements and alarms are displayed
on the breathing monitor. They do not corres-
pond to the measurements for the patient con-
nected to the external fresh-gas outlet.

monitor correspond to the measurements
on the Compact Breathing System (COSY).
Switch to the Standby mode when using the
external fresh-gas outlet.

There is no monitoring of pressure, volume or
